I’m not exactly sure where to start. There are a lot of things that rattle around in my head, begging for a release. It is my hope that this page might serve as that release. I hope, also, that you may gain something from my posts.
I like to explore ideas. Meanings. Go deep. Look at correlation v causation. Ask difficult questions. Search for difficult answers.
I’m sure, dear reader, you won’t always agree with me. Actually, you’ll probably disagree a lot. Let me assure you that I think that is a good thing. If I challenge your current thinking, even better. For that is how we learn. I encourage you to hang on for the ride — even if you don’t agree. Even if our life philosophies are different. Political leanings. Religious beliefs. After all, you won’t learn much reading things that are in line with your current thinking. To grow, you have to be challenged.
It’s a toxic environment that we have created for ourselves in this social media infused world. Algorithms driving us further and further apart, allowing us to never consider things from another perspective than out own.
I challenge you, dear reader, to release your ego, quell your pride, and allow yourself to think. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll learn something new. Or maybe you’ll have an “aha!” moment. Maybe I’ll light a dim, dusty bulb somewhere in the back of your head.
But learning isn’t a one way street. I also expect to have my thinking challenged. To be called out for logical fallacies. Be civil but don’t be bashful.
